A three-part plan is detailed that includes parks, improvements to playgrounds at all or most of the area schools and a significant increase in the amount and connectivity of paved walking trails and sidewalks. The parks portion includes three notable additions; a large park located on a 31-acre tract behind and CRHS, an amphitheater in the expansion phase of LaCenterra and a large park along the wide Diversion Channel where it passes on each side of mason road south of Creech Elementary School. The WFDD states that the land for these parks is not adding to the cost of the project, as WFDD already owns the Diversion Channel and it has secured long-term leases at negligible cost on the other two tracts from KISD and LaCenterra.
