The Art of Teaching Class
Houston Community College – Katy

Now is your chance to get a hands-on look into what it takes to be a teacher. The University of Houston – Victoria School of Education and Human Development is offering “The Art of Teaching” at HCC – Katy during the fall semester. Students can take this class before being admitted into the University of Houston – Victoria School of Education and Human Development to see if teaching is the right major for them. Tuesdays
Preschool Playhouse at Chick-fil-A Cinco Ranch

9:30 – 11 a.m.

Tuesdays
Civil Air Patrol
West Houston Airport
18000 Groeschke Rd.
6:45 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Kids 12 and up and adults are invited to help serve the community through Civil Air Patrol. The group meets in the first aircraft hangar on the east side of the field at West Houston Airport

Wednesdays
Story Time
Maud Marks Library
1815 Westgreen Blvd.
11:15 a.m.
Stories, fingerplays, and songs are featured. This is ideal for children ages 3 to 5, but all children and caregivers are welcome. Call 281-492-8592.

Thursday
Celebrate Recovery
CrossPoint Community Church
700 S. Westgreen Blvd.
6:15 – 8:15 p.m.

CrossPoint Community Church invites the public to be part of their ongoing Celebrate Recovery program. It’s a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. The program is designed to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Saturdays
Katy Farmers Market
Church of the Holy Apostles

8 a.m. – 12 p.m. during the spring and summer
9 a.m. – 1 p.m. during the fall and winter
Shop for locally grown produce and homemade products from a variety of vendors. Items include: seasonal produce, free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, fresh herbs, organic fertilizer, jams and jellies, olive oil, natural pet foods, vegan baked goods, international flavors, gourmet-to-go and more. The market is held rain or shine.
