Mary Jo Peckham Park is a 32-acre green space featuring basketball courts, an aquatic and fitness center, a putting green, a miniature golf course, a playground, a reservable pavilion, a gazebo, a fishing lake, exercise stations, and a six-hole disc golf course. 

The park was named after the late Mary Jo Hill Peckham: “Widely known for her willingness to help those in need, she was dedicated to acting as a friend at all times to anyone in need of care, guidance, or assistance.” Harris County Commissioners Court recognized Mary Jo Peckham’s contributions to her community when it proclaimed June 18, 1991, as “Mary Jo Peckham Day.”’
